Because of catering difficulties at Romiley Captain's Day was switched, at a late stage, to Withington where we received a very warm welcome.
A total of twelve members and guests played in the competition for the Booth Trophy. We should have been playing for the Past Captains' Cup but it was not available. The weather was fine and the course was in good condition although the greens were quite slow.
- 1st Place and winner of the Trophy: Brian Irorere (37pts)
- 2nd Place: Dave Saunders (36pts)
- 3rd Place: James Ball (32pts)
- Longest Drive: John Shore
- Nearest The Pin: Naseer Naqvi
- Twos: Mark Cleworth and John Shore
James Ball had the best score on the final 3 holes and as a result won a free 4-ball round courtesy of Withington GC.
