Matches take place throughout the NW Region of England. A full day programme is offered with potential 9 hole or Texas Scramble events before lunch, a game of various formats in the afternoon. A range of prizes including well established trophies followed by the option of dinner.

A very warm welcome to the website of the University of Salford Golf Society (S.U.G.S) SUGS, the official Golf Society of the University, is well established having recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. It is well managed, operates and organised via the annual election of officers and is financially sound. The Society runs about ten events per year and generally operates on a monthly basis across the North West, playing at courses such as Stockport, Worsley Marriott. Pleasington, Romiley, Ormskirk and Leigh. Additionally it runs an annual competition with the University of Manchester and is looking to extend this to other events. It comprises a friendly group of golfers of all abilities and levels and welcomes new members of both academic and non-academic staff, students of all levels, industrial and commercial associates and colleagues and friends and those from outside the University who merely wish to join and play. If you would wish to play, throughout the season or just odd event(s) we would be extremely happy to welcome you into the Society.
